I believe he is in deep grief having been rejected by the nation as a whole very decisively, less so in the swing states that he currently obsessing over. Either way, wounded people wound people. I expect him to make life difficult for many people surrounding him and people in the rest of the nation unless he gets his way which is now all but impossible and he knows.
