Rep. Gaetz Isn’t Going Anywhere Anytime Soon.

“The Florida Republican, starting his fifth year in Congress, has been battling to preserve his political career since reports last week that he is under federal investigation for possible sex crimes. In a column in the Washington Examiner, a conservative news outlet, Gaetz predicted that “some of my feckless colleagues in Congress” will call for him to step down.

Rep. Gaetz my not be getting much in the way of support from the man in Mara Lago but that is not stopping him from using his crisis playbook. Deny Deny and deflect until something else comes along to garner everyones’ attention. It worked for the former President more times than not and Rep. Gaetz is now giving it a go. Whether it will be successful remains to be seen but the radio silence from his GOP colleagues is very telling. The GOP routinely circled the wagons for Trump, but for Gaetz not so much.
