Familial DNA Continues To Solve Crimes Thought Unsolveable.
“Using familial DNA, which relies on genetic evidence to identify the relatives of suspects and eventually the suspects themselves, the police said they had arrested Timothy L. Williams at his home in Melbourne, Fla., on Wednesday and charged with him with murdering Wendy.”
I hope that these DNA advances continue and more criminals are caught. Many have reservations about using the DNA of people who uploaded their genetic profiles to the various sites to potentially find and prosecute their family members. I am not one of them. If a family of member of mine committed a heinous act and was convicted by using the DNA profile I uploaded, I would congratulate the genetic sleuths who brought him or her to justice.
