Former President Trump is the begin all and end all for today GOP majority. The elderly man’s power within the GOP is pervasive and any new rising start within the party has to pay fealty to the almighty Trump. Pinning their hopes on a rebound through Trumpism is perilous for the GOP and pock marked with potential pit falls that could relegate the party to a minority status on the national level. Educated voters turned against the demagoguery presented by Trump in the last election and there are no signs he is going to win them back. (He needs them to win.)
