Walz was chosen by Kamala as her running mate in a nod to his Midwestern folksy charm. Hidden behind that charm is someone willing to go on the attack against his opponents in what often devolves into a game of name calling when Donald Trump is in the mix. She hopes the electoral Midwestern blue wall can be rebuilt and having a running mate from that region certainly helps in that regard.
