Delta CEO Not A Fan Of Georgia Voter Suppression.
Delta came out, after pressure from activists, to denounce the new Georgia voting suppression bill. (The Hill)
“The CEO also argued that the “entire rationale for this bill was based on a lie: that there was widespread voter fraud in Georgia in the 2020 elections.” ”
Delta decided that voter suppression is not cool after some convincing. The GOP is making a concerted effort to restrict the number of people who can vote, especially people of color. Party officials are extremely unhappy with the outcome of the 2020 election and are determined to not let it happen again. Broadening the tent is not the cards, restricting voter access to the polls is proving far more popular.
