Tuesday’s testimony by Cassidy Hutchinson, an aide to Mark Meadows, the final chief of staff for President Donald Trump, snapped attention back to the Jan. 6 committee in a striking finale to the first stretch of the hearings, which are expected to resume in July.

Ms. Hutchinson’s testimony was certainly a surprise — delivering shocking and consequential revelations — but it has hardly been the only one. The hearings have been packed with them.

Cassidy Hutchinson, the equivalent of the well known movie stock character role of the cloaked woman coming from the back of the Court that no one expected and delivering damning testimony. The June shocker was certainly as shock and dramatically altered the playing field of actors on this stage and shed light on the form President’s most intriguing and potentially damaging moments just prior to the Insurrection. July may have a serious of its own shocks, we shall find out soon.
