The transformation of the political parties is a moving target with both claiming to be the party of the ‘working man’ regardless of the effects of the legislation they support. The Democratic party has been changing in a significant way, claiming the college educated coastal/upper Midwest states while Republicans are squarely centered in the South/Plains States with some fingers protruding into the Great Lakes. Whomever is believed to be the ‘party of the people’ will be the winners of upcoming elections.
