The nation’s bones are withering away through neglect and disinvestment. America is now more concerned with making sure the billionaire class pays no taxes than making sure we have funds to pay for basic necessities like road repairs. But we have no choice at this point because our roads, bridges, sewer lines are in complete disrepair, in desperate need of a funding infusion. Taxing the wealthiest among us must be a long term goal, in the mean time this pared down bill is the next best thing.
