Hezbollah And Israel Dig In For Long Conflict.

Hezbollah is prepared for a possible Israeli ground invasion of Lebanon even though “the battle might be long,” the militant group’s deputy leader, Naim Qassem, said in a Monday video address. An Israeli airstrike hit an apartment in Beirut’s Cola neighborhood, Lebanese officials said — the first within the capital’s city limits since hostilities with Hezbollah escalated almost a year ago. Israeli forces carried out small raids inside Lebanon on Monday, according to an Israeli person familiar with the matter, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive military operation.

The Israel/Hezbollah conflict comes at a precarious time for the Middle East and the World overall. The region is still reeling from the conflict that started nearly a year ago on October 7th and has not stopped. This takes place against the backdrop of the ongoing Russia/Ukraine War that never seems to have any light at the end the tunnel. The Biden Administration has attempted to contain the conflicts to some degree of success but then another front opens up and it begins all over again. Oh and the election is a month away and the World holds its breath.
