“Trump’s campaign said Michigan was one of three states where lawmakers will “hold public hearings on the election” in the coming days. There were discussions about having Rudy Giuliani, the president’s personal lawyer, testify, state House Oversight Committee Chairman Matt Hall, R-Marshall, told The Detroit News.
We’ve just determined that logistically it’s not something we’re going to be able to do,” said Hall, adding that the Trump campaign has been invited to submit written testimony.”
Trump’s re-election campaign has not been knows for its attention to detail or legal accumen and this has led to some truly comical moments that are a welcome break from the thinking about how much damage is actually being done. Some of the lawyers on the team are making some patently bizarre statements in hastily arranged press conferences in front of lawn care businesses and others are claiming that hearings that are not scheduled to take place are scheduled to take place. I think even Trump is getting tired of the charade and slightly embarrassed.
