Climate Bill Passes Senate, On To The House.
A major piece of President Biden’s agenda passed the Senate and now makes its way to the House this week for approval. (CNN)
President Biden’s aggressive domestic agenda did not appear to have a path forward in today Congress and he looked like a lame duck. Things dramatically changed after Sen. Manchin was persuaded to vote for the bill, along with Senator Sinema from Arizona. Democrats control Congress and the White house but played their roles as if the were in the minority. That changed in the matter of a week or so and now all eyes are focused on the midterm elections and what fate that holds for both parties and the White House.
