Gov. Desantis Keeps Rejecting Basic Covid-19 Science.
The Florida Governor keeps rejecting basic scientific principles with his refusal to abide by recommended masking requirements.
“Florida’s Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis has a message for President Joe Biden: He’s not getting out of the way even as his rejection of masking and public health guidance risks fueling his state’s raging Covid-19 cases.
DeSantis relished the chance to climb on a national stage to battle Biden on Wednesday, after the President accused him and Texas GOP Gov. Greg Abbott — who preside over the two states with most new infections over the past week — of worsening a pandemic that once seemed to have abated.”
Gov. Desantis is the leader of one of our largest states and happens to be the current Covid-19 epicenter in the nation. Unfortunately, he continues to deny the value of very basic scientific principles when it come to the facts behind the spread of the Coronavirus. As a result, Florida will keep being the center of the pandemic until the Sunshine state’s leaders begin to accept that science is real and Covid-19 is a threat to everyone’s health and well being. The vaccination effort will be the only way out of the woods and hopefully Gov. Desantis begins to accept that fact.
