Donald Trump received his vaccine before leaving office and could have publicly announced the event to encourage his science doubting base to cast aside their disbelief in facts for a moment and get the jab. The former President, however, was more concerned that he could be read as a science believer and therefore rejected by his core base if he were to be seen on TV getting the vaccine and trusting scientists. Now, the push for the vaccine is in full swing, and we can only hope his tepid endorsement of the vaccine his Administration developed will be enough to convince the unvaccinated to switch to a vaccinated status.
