The next few weeks are going to be untenable as the country lists from side to side in rough waters with no national leadership guiding a national response. The president is completely consumed with subverting the election and devotes even less time guiding a frightened nation’s response to the worst health catastrophe in over 100 years. Nothing stings a narcissist quite as hard as a rejection and thus we are left bereft a national leader when we absolutely need one the most.
