Summer Flooding Caused By Climate Change Is Flooding Midwestern Cities.

Flood waters are seeping into basements across the Midwest and especially in Metro Detroit causing millions in damage. (The Detroit News)

Climate change is real and it is affecting Americans in unexpected ways and in unexpected places. Detroit would seem like a safe place to live in order to avoid rising seas or intense droughts, and that is true. However, the Detroit region is now experiencing some of the worst flooding problems in America in recent years with no signs of abating. The rain patterns are now more intense as a result of the global temperature rise and will continue to wreak havoc. American infrastructure is crumbling to begin with and when climate change is added to the mix, a true disaster is in the making.
