To many of his supporters democracy is not at all important, the only thing that matters is getting him in the Oval Office again, at all costs. He of course is fully on board with this notion, in his mind there is no possibility he could ever lose an election and if he does it’s pure illegitimate. The rest of the ‘law and order’ GOP is also fully ok with whatever Trump does and says. He has carte blanche to get ‘re-elected’ by any means necessary.
