The US Supreme Court is now flexing its new conservative muscle and limiting a state’s ability to control religious gatherings meant to stop the spread of Covid-19. As the Chief Justice points out-elected officials should not be second guessed and overruled by an unelected judiciary that is not privy to the scientific information many state officials have when imposing limitations. We knew Justice Alito was chafing at the bit to hand down this ruling according to speeches he gave to conservative lawyers.
