Coastal Cities With Continued Protests Singled Out For Funding Cuts
Citizens in PDX, SEA and NYC exercising their rights have caused AG Barr to single out their cities for funding cuts.
“New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler, and Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan — all Democrats — fired back in a joint statement, saying Trump “is playing cheap political games with Congressionally directed funds. . . . What the Trump Administration is engaging in now is more of what we’ve seen all along: shirking responsibility and placing blame elsewhere to cover its failure.””
If the president is re-elected then a bifurcation of funding between cities and regions that support him and those that don’t will become the norm. He already has shown a penchant for punishing whole regions that don’t see the need to bow down before him and feed his ego. After all, this whole presidential experiment is an exercise in narcissism.
