Suspected Murderer Arrested In Minnesota.
The Minnesota lawmaker shootings suspect is in custody, after a roughly 43-hour manhunt involving hundreds of detectives, more than 20 SWAT teams, drones, helicopters and infrared technology ended with 57-year-old Vance Boelter’s surrender in the woods of Sibley County.
The suspect is awaiting a court appearance Monday afternoon in Hennepin County jail, where he was booked on state murder charges, according to a criminal complaint obtained by the Minnesota Star Tribune. Authorities are also considering federal charges, one law enforcement source told CNN, citing a potential hit list recovered by investigators that includes the names of federal lawmakers.
While community members are being encouraged to come forward with any information that could aid in the investigation, authorities have said they believe Boelter acted alone.
The attack, which authorities believe was politically motivated, has altered the state of Minnesota, Gov. Tim Walz said, urging Americans not to become numb to this kind of violence.

Political violence in America is now becoming commonplace with politicians fearing for their lives after receiving a constant barrage of threats. The ability to maintain a functioning democracy is at risk if no one is willing to step up the plate and run for political office if doing do now requires fear of constant violence to oneself and loved ones. This Nation is at a crossroads and will cannot continue to spiral down this path, or the state of America will get far far worse.
