Iowa Turns Red.

Iowa, once a part of the blue wall, has decidedly turned into a red state with little hope of electing many Dems in the near future. (NY Times)

Donald Trump pierced the Midwestern Blue Wall in the 2016 election with his demagoguery that he expertly disguised as a populist message which resonated across large swaths of the country. Some states appear to have migrated permanently to the Red column politically, however, changes in voting patterns can happen rapidly. Just ask Iowa Democrats.
