The Emperor Does Not Commit To Peaceful Transition
As always, it is unclear if the he is just trying to control the news cycle by making sure he is front and center or if he believes he is the anointed leader of the country destined to rule in perpetuity. I think a mix of both, he essentially places in his bases’ mind an idea of eternal rule and he is simultaneously able to use the media like puppets and force them to report the story as their main headline.
