Gov. Cuomo Accused Again Of Sexual Harassment.

Gov. Cuomo is again being accused of sexual harassment, this time by a young aid. (NY Times)

Gov. Cuomo
The aide, Charlotte Bennett, who was an executive assistant and health policy adviser in the Cuomo administration until she left in November, told The New York Times that the governor had harassed her late last spring, during the height of the state’s fight against the coronavirus.

Governor Cuomo is not above the law and needs to account for his alleged harassing behavior. Shepherding a state through the worst of the pandemic, in the absence of national leadership, is not an excuse to harass anyone. He is not alone among Democratic governors in seeing his promising star severely dimmed in the last several months. Gov. Newsom of California is now fining off a potential election recall, not because he harassed anyone but over his handling of the pandemic lockdowns. These two rising stars in the Democratic Party may be down but probably not out.
